Barbie as the Island Princess

My older daughter loved Barbie, for awhile, but she has moved on to bigger and better things (in her mind) so I thought I was going to get a reprieve from Barbie for a few years. Well, no such luck, my two year old daughter has fallen in love with Barbie and had to get this movie. At two years old, children seem to get stuck on a certain movie and watch it over and over, this is the movie Lizzie is stuck on. There are definitely worse movies you could be stuck watching over and over. In this movie Barbie plays a girl that has been shipwrecked as a young child and forced to grow up being raised by a peacock, elephant, and red panda in an island paradise. Because of this she has learned to talk to animals. Then enters the handsome and adventurous prince who finds her and takes her to civilization. Ro, the girl in the story, wants to find the place where she belongs and the people she belongs to. This movie is filled with bright colors and talking animals, which my two year old loves, but it also filled with a number of songs. She likes to sing along. It's too cute! I even find myself humming along with some of the tunes. This movie has a good message behind it and I do recommend it. I like it better than most of the other Barbie movies I have seen.
